DIRECT MAIL
Direct mail need not always be junk mail. Sometimes, recipients get a pleasant surprise when the mailman makes his delivery. To be honest, I have written more than my fair share of sales circulars, gift guides, preferred customer letters, special savings postcards and other direct to recycling bin fodder. Below, however, I’ve posted direct mail samples I’m proud to have written, and think the recipients were pleased to receive, too.
Dimensional direct mail like the Globe Furniture Rentals campaign can be costly, but can also help develop a loyal repeat customer base. Informational mail like the Eye Institute mailer brings good news to an audience that could use it, while burnishing the client’s reputation. And mailers that provide repeat customers with preferential treatment and discounts like the Wings season ticket mailer are win-win for client and customer alike.
