DEVELOPMENT

I designed, developed, generated content for, and maintained multiple intranet web sites at the civil engineering and construction organization where I was employed. I created these sites to provide a central source of truth for corporate knowledge fundamental to the prosecution of work by the company’s project management personnel.  My goal for these sites was to create a clean and simple design with intuitive navigation, to keep content current, and to always provide 100% functionality.  The four major content-intensive sites were accessed via the AI Production System (AIPS) splash page, since this proprietary production management system provides the guiding vision for all work performed within the organization. Below is the AIPS home page I created.

Below are home pages for the four major intranet sites I developed to deliver key corporate knowledge. They are: 1) Delay Free Production; 2) Project Management Manual; 3) Estimating Resources Center; and 4) Environmental.

Within the Delay Free Production intranet site, I created three separate sub-sites posted below.  They included: 1) Delay Free Production Resources; 2) AI Production System Links; and 3) the AI Playbook, which consisted of nine unique playbooks of project team-generated and corporate-reviewed and approved construction “plays”, work planning packets, after action reviews  and construction videos.

Within the Estimating Resources Center intranet site, I created three separate sub-sites posted below. They included: 1) Construction Equipment Specifications Library; 2) Construction Products and Materials Library; and 3) Construction Agency Specifications Library.  I utilized a left page sidebar to provide page links listing the numerous content categories within each of these sites.  Links to detailed content were presented via dropdown lists in the center page section (see Detail examples below).

Below is the content page of the Project Management Manual intranet site which contains links to all ten modules, plus the Continuous Learning Center and AI Corporate Policy appendices.

Additionally, I have posted samples of a sixth intranet site I designed and developed: the National Agreements intranet.  This is a secured site containing contracts negotiated by the corporate Purchasing department, and available to business unit Purchasing Managers, Project Managers and other concerned individuals who buy for the organization.  Users were identified and provided with login credentials. They could view contracts relevant to their needs prior to making purchases, thus assuring lowest prices were paid for commonly purchased merchandise and services, or rented equipment.
