In 2009, the corporate IT department of the company where I was employed as a Technical Writer-Producer launched a custom-designed enterprise data platform to be used by nearly every group within the organization. To assist employees recall utilization process after completion of their training, I developed help tutorials that were made available on the company intranet for self-service. I’ve posted eight of the thirty-plus tutorials I developed below. Please note that these tutorials do not include voiceover narration (a management decision – not a technical glitch).

In 2007, the company launched a new grassroots application developed in conjunction with HCSS, the noted construction software developer. The Estimate Management System was a stop-gap measure to provide a single source of truth for project opportunity, estimate and bid tracking data with reporting functionality while awaiting the implementation of the CMiC enterprise data platform. I was tasked with developing an e-learning course that key administrative and project employees at each of the organization’s business units were required to pass in order to use the system. The course is SCORM compliant and each of the modules (after the introduction) includes a test. The audio quality of these files is rough, but still intelligible. I have posted the introduction and first three modules below.

In order to streamline and standardize new employee orientations, the company’s corporate Safety group wanted to provide an automated presentation of their key trainer’s General Safety Orientation to each of the organization’s business units. They requested that I develop a script and produce a video utilizing their PowerPoint presentation. I’ve posted an excerpt of the resulting video below.
